rags

like the dirty

snow, it’s

 

no wonder

he’s

breaking news:

 

making

headlines

for

his back-yard

prowls, ears

 

pricked, watchful

 

hoping for

a prize.

all in an instant

This painting is part of a series created with watercolor and gouache, inspired through viewing cracks in the asphalt on nearby roads. The crumbling made me think of the struggle of man with nature, as well as the thousands of trips made on these roads; on foot, on bicycles, in cars and how they overlap in layers throughout time – a flow of humanity.
